Steven Spencer Appointed CEO of Upoc Networks Inc., a Dada company


NEW YORK, December 12, 2006 — Dada, a leading European provider of Web and mobile community and entertainment services listed on the Italian Stock Exchange (DA.MI), is pleased to announce the appointment of Steven Spencer as the Chief Executive Officer of Upoc Networks Inc.

Upoc entered the Dada Group earlier this year and provides technology and aggregation services to the mobile marketplace managing the number one mobile social networking community in North America.

For the past two years Steven Spencer has been the Chief Technology Officer of Upoc Networks.

Previously Spencer was the Executive Vice President for Wireless Systems at Pinnacor: in this role, he was responsible for the creation and overall executive leadership for that company's wireless business.

Steven Spencer's extensive industry experience spans 20 years in Bell Laboratories and Lucent Technologies. During this time, he has held the positions of Senior Managing Director of Business Management for the Wireless Internet Applications, Project Director for Internet Appliances, Business Development for Internet Technologies Director and Project Director for Broadband Interactive Television.Products that Spencer has managed have produced revenues of over $1B. He began his career with Bell Laboratories in 1980 and has patented four communications products on behalf of the company.

Steven Spencer has a Degree in Electrical Engineering from Union College, a Masters in Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from New York University's Stern School of Business. He is now a member of the leadership board of the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association Internet Caucus and is frequently asked to speak at industry events.
